Insurance
Regence BlueShield has hired Audrey Nash as an associate account executive. Nash, who has more than 11 years of experience in the insurance industry, previously worked at Argus Insurance.
Medical
Sunnyside Community Hospital has promoted Martha Rodriguez to chief financial officer. Rodriguez, who has an accounting degree from Central Washington University, has been the comptroller at the hospital since April 2007.
The Washington State Association of Activity Professionals has awarded Jennifer Vimont and Dennis Malgesini the Activity Director of the Year award and the Administrator of the Year award, respectively. The pair, both of Living Care Retirement Community, received the award for support and promoting of outstanding activity programs for seniors. Vimont has also been elected president of the Yakima chapter of the organization for 2009.
Provident Horizon Group has elected Dave Cote and Dave Hazel to its board of directors. Cote is a financial services professional agent for New York Life Insurance Company. Hazel is a Yakima attorney.
Nonprofit
Second Chance Lab Rescue, which provides temporary shelter for unwanted/owner-surrendered Labrador retrievers, recently secured nonprofit status and appointed new board members.
They are: Dana Gonzales, chairwoman; Jamie Whitney, president; Staci Verbrugge, vice president; Rhonda Taylor, secretary/editor; Robert Gonzales, treasurer; Heidi Bolong, legal adviser; and Julie Monson, Ira Amos, Dixie Mack and Stephanie Jordan.

Lakemont Real Estate has hired Rae Anne Toth as a sales agent. Toth most recently worked at Creekside Realty.
