KENNEWICK -- After having its struggles all season, Eisenhower's defense finally rose to the challenge Friday night.

Ike limited Kamiakin to six first downs -- just one in the second half -- and 71 total yards as the Cadets posted a 10-0 victory in a CBBN Cascade Division game.

With the victory, Ike earned its first league victory of the season in three tries, and improved to 2-3 overall.

All of Ike's scoring came in the first half, starting with a 36-yard field goal by Quintin Hinman in the first quarter. Taylor Elmo then threw a 13-yard scoring pass to Chad Brown in the second quarter.

But the Cadets' defense more than made up for that, allowing Kamiakin just
57 yards passing and 14 on the ground. Kamiakin had minus-1 yards passing in the second half.
